Momotaro Apotheca case study
About Momotaro Apotheca
Momotaro Apotheca makes certified organic, plant-based vulvovaginal care, made in Portland, Oregon. The line includes salves, tonics, and body oils for daily care, yeast infections, BV, dryness and irritation, after-sex care, pregnancy and postpartum, and menopause.
The Challenge
Momotaro Apotheca had strong products and a clear mission. Like most brands in sensitive health categories, the real challenge was communication. They needed a sharper way to talk about intimate wellness: modern and trustworthy, without sounding clinical, vague, or pushy.
The Strategy
Rewrote the positioning around how customers actually talk about intimate care
Wrote the language for recurring imbalance and natural support
Put that language on the landing pages, the site pages, and every email
Gave influencers the same words to use in their outreach
Built the paid creative off the same messaging
Made the site match how customers already felt about the problem
Revenue
Driven by clearer positioning and stronger creative
Subscription Revenue
Share of total revenue coming from subscription orders
Conversion Rate
Improved through messaging consistency across touchpoints
What Made The Difference
Language that normalizes the conversation
We wrote the brand a way to talk about intimate wellness that felt approachable instead of clinical. Same voice on the ads, the landing pages, and the email, so nothing felt off at any step.
Written down, so it lasts
Momotaro came away with the language written down. New creative and new pages start from it instead of starting over, which is why it kept working after we moved on.
The same words everywhere
Paid media, landing pages, email, influencer outreach, and the older site pages all got rewritten to match. Conversion rate went up 25% without touching the products.
